Review by hotel critic
During my recent city break in Calais, I had the pleasure of staying at Le Chalet, which proved to be a delightful retreat. The apartment was impeccably clean and airy, ideal for a refreshing escape. I particularly appreciated its prime location, just a short stroll from Calais centre, with local shops conveniently located nearby-including a lovely little sweet shop, Les Plaisirs de Mimi, at the end of the street. Traveling with family, we found the cozy living space perfect for our needs, and the comfortable beds ensured a restful night's sleep. The well-equipped kitchenette was an unexpected bonus, allowing us to prepare meals and enjoy some quality family time. The hosts, Aurélie and Ludivine, were remarkably attentive and responsive, exemplifying exemplary customer service. If you're planning to explore the area, you'll find the transport options quite accessible, with handy attractions like Cap Gris Nez just a short drive away. I wholeheartedly recommend Le Chalet; it's a gem for families seeking a taste of Calais, combining convenience and charm in equal measure.
